Dear Lovers,
Here’s a little reminder to slow down and enjoy the journey. I learned this song on a Thich Nhat Hanh meditation retreat and both of my little boys like it. It helps me relax too and in all the chaos and fun of summer I sing this to myself over and over when I’m on walks or biking to pick up my kids or when I start breathing fast and feeling panicky, overwhelmed by the heat and speed of summer and the exhaustion of mothering. It’s a reminder that we all end up in the same place: underground. So let’s try not to worry too much, slow down, let go of extra baggage, be honest, live our lives well, love what we love, and remember to rest.
